The BEST Homemade Blue Cheese Dressing
Prep Time: 5 mins
Total Time: Less than 10 mins
Yield: About 1 & 1/2 Cups
What You'll Need:
1/2 c blue cheese or gorgonzola (off the wedge, don't skimp here)
1 Tbsp finely chopped chives
1 Tbsp diced red onion
2 Tbsp mayo
3 Tbsp buttermilk
3 Tbsp sour cream
1 tsp sherry wine vinegar
1 tsp freshly squeezed lemon juice
1/4 tsp kosher salt, plus another pinch or two if needed
pinch pepper
pinch sugar (about 1/8 tsp)
How to Prepare:
Combine mayo, sour cream, and buttermilk in a small bowl with kosher salt, pepper, sherry wine vinegar, lemon juice, and pinch of sugar, then whisk.
Add in chives and blue cheese, whisk again.
Stir in red onions, and taste for seasoning. Add another pinch of salt if necessary.
Enjoy with buffalo wings or salad!
Dressing will keep for 3-5 days in an airtight container in the refrigerator.
